Phonics Resources

Exposing children to print and texts from an early age, is a vital part of the beginning stages of reading. Sharing repetitive and familiar picture books with children promotes the love of reading from an early childhood. Children will begin to mimic reading actions, turning the pages of the book and talking about the pictures to convey meaning. As they begin to understand that print represents words, the ability to segment and blend words becomes increasingly essential when read texts with growing independence and enjoyment. We have developed a range of phonics resources to use in classrooms that will work alongside all phonics schemes.
